Ailbhe Reddy - Fingertips

Friday 2nd June, 2017

They say: "Fingertips is a song about female sexuality from a strong and confident perspective. Which I think is rare in music and something I wanted to explore.

I'm really strongly influenced by Fiona Apple and Lianne La Havas, which hopefully comes across."

We say: "Pop songs with jazz chords - they're ace. It's a cool tradition that includes The Cardigans, Everything But The Girl and Aztec Camera.

Best enjoyed in a black polo neck while resting your neatso cocktail on a kidney-shaped lounge table. Ailbhe's take on this hybrid genre is assured and emotionally acute."

'Fingertips' is from Ailbhe Reddy's latest EP, 'Attach To Memory', available to buy now.

As often as possible Across the Line aims to bring you a great new, recent or interesting track each day, Monday to Friday. To get your new music to Across the Line send it via the BBC Introducing Uploader
