Brand New Friend - Your Friends Hate Me

Thursday 18th May, 2017

They say: "Your Friends Hate Me is an upbeat song about losing touch. It's watching someone you love retreating into themselves and not knowing how to help them.

It was written on the beach one morning, I remember singing the chorus the entire way home to make sure I didn't forget it! My fourteen year old brother Logan had a hand writing this one, so it's definitely a family tune. To top it off, the artwork is our drummer Luke as a baby!" - Taylor Johnson

We say: "Brand New Friend are under a little pressure as the hype builds, the band recently added to the bill for One Big Weekend in Hull.

But they’re stepping up - and this is their poppiest, most polished and accomplished release to date. It is also, crucially, a great deal of fun."

Brand New Friend will perform at this year's Radio 1's Big Weekend, on the BBC Introducing Stage. It's on Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th May, Burton Constable Hall, Hull.

As often as possible Across the Line aims to bring you a great new, recent or interesting track each day, Monday to Friday. To get your new music to Across the Line send it via the BBC Introducing Uploader
