Leah McFall is one of the Music Potential leading mentors.

The Oh Yeah Music Centre and London-based urban radio station Capital XTRA have revealed the lineup of leading mentors for their forthcoming MUSIC POTENTIAL initiative – a training course for young adults who want to work in music, from performance and production to the business side of the industry.

These guest mentors include Ivor Novello winning and Grammy nominated artist Iain Archer, and R&B performer Leah McFall, known for her appearances on The Voice and work with Will.I.Am, Leona Lewis and more.

Other facilitators will be Northern Irish songwriter Callum Stewart (who has worked with Labrinth and Johnny McDaid) and LA-based R&B artist Aleem. Further guest appearances will be announced in the coming weeks.

The project is fully funded and aimed specifically at people aged 18-25, not in full-time education or employment. It takes the form of a series of boot camps, with sixty young people chosen to take part in a ten-day MPX course and a chance to visit KOKO in London for a national showcase.

MUSIC POTENTIAL is completely free and includes a qualification, with all lunches and travel covered. So if any budding artists, producers, journalists or promoters are interested, they can find out more information and register for the bootcamp on the Music Potential website.
