Jak Vapor - Drive Away

Tuesday 2nd May, 2017

They say: "So Drive Away is about a breakdown in a relationship. The twist is that the song is not ready a love song, it's sort of an anti-love song which I thought was appropriate given the saturated love song market at the moment.

In terms of influences, it's really endless with me. I grew up listening to The Police, The Eagles, Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac, but have recently been influenced by Jimmy eat World, Ryan Adams and Foy Vance."

We say: "Tender sentiments from Donegal. Essence of Seventies power-pop with chugging, vamped chords and emotional gushings. Tuned up for another age with a gleaming production and thunderous drums."

Jak Vapor is the pseudonym of Donegal musician Paddy Molloy. 'Drive Away' is taken from the EP of the same name, available to buy now.
