LAOISE - You
Monday 13th February, 2017
They say: “YOU was written as part of my upcoming EP, Halfway. The idea was to write a song restricted to only three chords to see how far I could take it and I ended up loving its vocal melody and its lyrical content. It's progression and structure changed a lot during its production with Seán (Behan), and it became the most suitable as an introduction to my new music and what it contains.”
We say: “There’s something quite relaxing about ‘You’, maybe it’s the initial whispering or the cool, laid back bassline but it’s a quite complex song despite it’s three chord setup. Varied effects, deep lyrics and the unexpected make this track a major stand out.”
‘You’ is available to stream right now on her official website and her new single 'Halfway' releases on March 3rd.
