Túcan – Riot Now
They say – “This track was one of the first pieces of music that we composed after we expanded the band from a 4-piece, mainly acoustic band, to a larger ensemble, with brass, strings, and electric guitars. It is really important track to us, as it signifies us really finding our new sound, and figuring out where exactly we wanted to take this band for the next record. It is a big departure from the flamenco tinged music from our past, and I see it as very personal as it is quite representative of how much we've all changed in the band, while still being in the band, if that makes sense? There are a lot of different influences in there, that I won't name, but I guess that I would describe it as cinematic-post-folk-rock!”
We say – “Prog rock done acoustic is a dreadful concept, on paper. Yet here's Tucan, sounding like a trad ‘And So I Watch You From Afar’. Which, strangely, really works. As brilliant as it is unique.”
