
The ten acts shortlisted for this year’s Meteor Choice Music Prize have been announced. The award is for the best Irish album of 2013, and winners in previous years include Two Door Cinema Club, The Divine Comedy, Jape and Delorentos to name a few.
The shortlist was comprised by a panel of journalists, broadcasters, programmers, bloggers and other experts involved in Irish Music.

The winning album will be announced at the live event in Vicar Street, Dublin on Thursday 27th February 2014.
The winning act will receive €10,000 provided by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA).
