GRSNI Rock Camp

Girls Rock School NI will be running a three day Rock Camp over Easter, from Wednesday 4th April – Friday 6th April, teaching girls aged 11-14 the basics of playing an instrument and offering the chance to play in a band, write a song and perform it live.

Taking place at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast, no previous musical experience is required at all with the course designed to develop and build confidence and self-esteem.

The first day will focus on helping the participants to form a band, with each camper assigned an instrument to focus on. Workshops throughout the course will develop song-writing and playing skills, with lunchtime performances and Q&A sessions by inspiring female musicians including Orlaith & Mollie and Cherym.

The camp culminates with a final showcase concert where campers will perform with their bands in a live gig at the Oh Yeah Music Centre.

For more information, check out the Girls Rock School NI Facebook page, with the Rock Camp application form available here.
