The Prodigy Headline Electric Picnic

Dance legends The Prodigy have been added to the list of acts performing at this year’s Electric Picnic, joining acts such as Kendrick Lamar, Massive Attack, Picture This, Ash, Brand New Friend, Ryan McMullan, Pale Rivers and many more. The sold out festival at Stradbally Hall, Co Laois, kicks off on the 31st of August and finishes on the 2nd of September.

New Other Voices Acts At Electric Picnic

In other recently announced Electric Picnic news, seven more artists have been added to the bill at the Other Voices stage. David Keenan, Seamus Fogarty, Inhaler, Halo Maud, The Lost Brothers, Columbia Mills and Kormac will perform in the heart of Electric Picnic's woodland area with hosts Huw Stephens from BBC Radio 1 and MayKay from the Irish band Fight Like Apes.

Hard Working Class Heroes Music Conference

In case you missed it, the first delegates have been announced for HWCH festival in Dublin, featuring leading figures from across the music industry, including labels, managers and tastemakers such as music booker Casper Mills of SXSW, booking agent Sarah Casey of United Talent agency and feature writer for Stereogum Ryan Leas amongst others will descend on Dublin in search of new Irish acts. The festival will take place from Thursday, September 27th to Saturday, September 29th with an opening night networking event and a line-up announcement expected in the coming weeks.

Opening Acts Announced For Stendhal Thursday

No Oil Paintings, The Henry Girls and Trucker Diablo will be the opening acts playing on the first ever Thursday night for Stendhal Festival, on the Stevie Martin stage. 2018 sees the Limavady based festival run a modest programme of events for festival goers on Thursday, August 9th. Also, following on from its debut at Celtronic, Phil Kieran and the Ulster Orchestra will be performing live versions of collaborative work between Eoin O'Callaghan, Neil Burns and Leon Crockett on Friday, August 10th. Stenhhal festival runs from Thursday 9th of August to Saturday the 11th of August.
