Malojian, who travel to Chicago in February to work with Steve Albini
Performer, producer, recording engineer Steve Albini - who has worked with The Pixies, The Manic Street Preachers, Nirvana and The Frames among many more - is to be the keynote speaker at 'Output Belfast' in February, 2016
The conference for local artists, business and students will take place in The MAC on Thursday 18th February and will be the only European speaking engagement of 2016 for the much admired producer.
The conference will look at 'the challenges and opportunities that the music industry presents, highlighting the key role that music and performance plays within Northern Ireland’s buoyant creative industries sector.'
The Belfast City Council / Generator NI organised event will include panel discussions, sessions, workshops and networking opportunities with a night time programme of free gigs across Belfast.
Full details of speakers will be announced in January and registration is open now.
Another Albini / Belfast connection taking place in February will see Malojian travel to Chicago to record their next album with the recording engineer.
