Watch: Explore Shanghai

Hi, we're Freya and Mike.
We've been sent some photos of Shanghai in China.
Let’s take a look!
Let's explore Shanghai!
FREYA: Come in Mike, everyone else just knocks you know! Uncle Bob was on a train heading to Shanghai, the biggest city in China.
MIKE: Sick! It’s one of the world’s most futuristic cities as well. He must’ve arrived at the train station there.
FREYA: Yeah, and this is the train he was on. It's a magnetic levitation train which floats on magnets above the track. It's one of the fastest trains in the world and can travel at 450 kilometers an hour. More than 25 million people live in Shanghai, lots of them coming from the countryside to find jobs. Shanghai is the world's busiest port, built on the Yangtze, the biggest river in Asia. It also has some of the tallest buildings in the world. This is the amazing, twisting Shanghai Tower.
MIKE: Maybe Uncle Bob went to the top of it? Ah, this tower is proper techno.
FREYA: It’s eco-friendly too. It has amazing sky gardens, recycles all its water and gets power from wind turbines. The buildings all look very new.
MIKE: Let’s see how long they have been there.
FREYA: Wow, Uncle Bob's older than those buildings! But there are much older parts of Shanghai, with interesting shops and restaurants.
MIKE: Let’s see it at night. Ah look, it really comes to life!
FREYA: You have to watch the weather though, sometimes strong storms, called typhoons, can cause lots of damage! There are quieter places in Shanghai, look, over 150 parks!
MIKE: Uncle Bob loves fish, maybe he went there, Yuyuan Garden.
FREYA: Ah yeah, this place is 400 years old and families come here to relax. Look at the amazing fish. They’re called Koi carp and can weigh as much as two cats!
MIKE: Looks like it’s not just Uncle Bob who wants to visit Shanghai. Haha. Sick!
