Every Sunday there is a market in Antigua. Two presenters visit the market and show us typical fruit from the area. But these products aren’t the only things Guatemala is famous for. It is also famous for coffee, chewing gum and chocolate.
Classroom Ideas
This clip could be used to introduce vocabulary for different fruits and vegetables. Bring in the four fruits purchased by the young people in the clip - ‘la piña’, ‘la sandía’, ‘el plátano’, ‘el papaya’. Students could then taste each fruit and describe their appearance and flavour in Spanish.
