Infinitives

An infinitive in French is the ‘to’ form of a verb in English, such as 'jouer' which means 'to play'. Infinitives can form the subject of a sentence.

To talk about recent and ongoing actions in French, the phrases 'être en train de' (to be in the process of) and 'venir de' (to have just) are used.
