Description
All living things have some common characteristics - growth, movement, reproduction and eating. Note: There is no narration in this clip.
Classroom Ideas
View the clip with the class and then ask, “What does this clip show us about living things?” List pupils’ responses, then watch the clip again. After a second viewing, write the words “All living things…” on the board. Invite children to suggest different ways of ending the sentence. Guide the children towards a set of statements, such as: “All living things grow. All living things need to feed,” and “All living things have babies or make new, young living things.” Encourage children to question statements such as, “All living things move.” Is this true of plants, for instance?
