In order to remember which letters change, and what they change into, in a nasal mutation, think of the first letter of each word in this sentence - The cat purrs but dogs growl!
Classroom Ideas
Could be used as an introduction to the ‘Treiglad Trwynol’. Students could be given a list of place names to mutate after ‘yn’ (in). They could be given sentences and then asked to mutate the words after ‘fy’. The clip could be paused to show how the letters change whilst the students are doing the activity.
