An animated guide to mean, median and mode. The Clappy Boys need to have the right average age to be accepted for a recording contract. This clip demonstrates that the different types of average can produce very different results.
Classroom Ideas
Given various sets of data, students could work out the mean, median and mode averages of each set. The data could be a fun scenario, as in the clip, or real data, as in the students’ heights, or how many crisps are in a range of packets.
