You may have noticed that you can both say Dia duit and Dia daoibh. The duit form is used when talking to one person at a time, and the daoibh form when speaking to a group of people at once.

When a person greets you with Dia duit or Dia daoibh, you don't just repeat those words, but respond with Dia is Muire duit.

Orm is the prepositional pronoun for on me. In Irish, we describe feelings and emotions being "on" someone.

We can change who is experiencing the feeling or emotion by changing the prepositional pronounar.
