How can we sing as part of a group?
When we sing with others, we have the potential to make more interesting sounds and a wider variety of textureHow the tempo, melody and harmony are combined in a musical composition..
People sing together in choirs, for religious purposes, as a job and even just for enjoyment.
Singing with others requires different skills.

Unison - This is when everyone in the group sings the same part at the same time.
This requires careful listening, as everyone has to try and blend their voices together by breathing at the same time, singing in tune with each other and at the same volume.

Acapella - This is when a group of singers sing without an accompaniment or backing music.
This style of singing usually requires singers in the group to be in harmonyThe combination of voices or pitches together.. This means smaller groups sing different pitchHow high or low a musical sound is. or parts to others in the choir.
Sometimes singers even recreate other instruments with their voices such as the drums or bass.

We come from the big bang
My home is down the road
Up the hill, far away
My home is an estate
On a farm by the sea
My home makes me feel like me
The heart of a galaxy
[Clapping]
My hometown is my hometown
Where the roots of the rhythm come from
It's somewhere I know like the back of my hand
It's the one place the only place
A hive of people as busy as bees
We are a community

Daddy started out in San Francisco,
Tootin' on his trumpet loud and mean,
Suddenly a voice said, "Go forth Daddy,
Spread the picture on a wider screen."
And the voice said, "Brother, there's a million pigeons
Ready to be hooked on new religions.
Hit the road, Daddy, leave your common-law wife.
Spread the religion of The Rhythm Of Life."
And The Rhythm Of Life is a powerful beat,
Puts a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet,
Rhythm in your bedroom,
Rhythm in the street,
Yes, The Rhythm Of Life is a powerful beat
