Presenter 1: When the words get tricky, phonics get all sticky, blending them together doesn’t work the same.

You can see that all tricky words don’t look the way they should be heard.

Start with ‘i’, the smallest of them all, ‘i’ becomes ‘I’ and it grows up big and tall.

Teeth and tongue just lead the way, open wide and hear me say, ‘m-e’, that’s ‘me’. ‘W-e’ that’s ‘we’. ‘T-h-e-y’ why ‘they’. So many tricky words like ‘was’, ‘you’, ‘me’ and ‘they’ and ‘her’.
