Robin Hood for instance, took place around Sherwood Forest in Nottingham.
The story involves real characters from history like the greedy Sheriff of Nottingham and the cruel Prince John.
The story goes that Robin Hood was a talented outlaw archer who robbed from the rich.
As the story was passed down and retold it grew.
He gave to the poor, he had a band of merry men, he loved the brave and beautiful Maid Marian, but a legend always remains, in part based in reality.

Meaning you won’t find any of the magic or monsters you’ll find in myths.
New bits are added to legends as they’re retold over the years, but the main point of the story never changes.
So important lessons like helping those in need, well done Robin, are never lost.
