These are similar to one- and two-mark questions but you will be expected to write in more depth for three- and four-mark questions.

Sample question 1 - Foundation and Higher
Question
A student finds the graph shown in the figure for the stretching of a wire.
Describe the non-linear stretching of the wire shown in the graph. [3 marks]
Above 37.5 N there are large increases of extension for small increases in load [1]. The maximum extension of the wire is about 16.5 mm before it breaks [1]. Above 12 mm the wire keeps on extending when the load is reduced below 46 N [1].
Make sure you describe three separate features of the graph clearly and use numbers from the graph in your answer.
