Sample exam questions - rates of reaction and energy changes - EdexcelSentence completion and line matching
Understanding how to approach exam questions helps to boost exam performance. Question types will include multiple choice, structured, mathematical and practical questions.
Foundation tier papers may include questions in which you have to complete a sentence, or draw lines to match correct options. These questions will include 'distractors', which are incorrect choices.
Make sure you only use words from the given list. When you answer a line matching question, use straight lines rather than complex wavy lines. Do not draw more lines than necessary to answer the question.
These questions have been written by Bitesize consultants as suggestions to the types of questions that may appear in an exam paper.

Sample question 2 - Foundation
Question
Reactions and process that happen in solution can be exothermic or endothermic, and are accompanied by temperature changes.
Draw two lines to match each type of reaction to its features. [4 marks]
