Exam advice

There are several things to keep in mind when answering the extract based question

  1. Read the extract more than once to make sure you have fully understood it.
  2. When you are reading the extract you should highlight the key words and phrases that will help you to answer the question.
  3. Make sure that any quotes you include in your answer are brief and to the point. Quotes should support your answer but should not be too long.
  4. Your answer to the extract based question should only focus on the actual extract. Do not comment on other parts of the novel as you will not receive any marks for doing so.
