As well as describing what your friends and family look like, it’s worthwhile thinking of extended opinions on all aspects of family life and friendship, as well as using different tenses, for example to talk about something you did or any future plans you may have with your friends and family.

Transcript:Bueno, mis amigos me dicen que soy muy paciente y simpática pero yo no estoy de acuerdo. En casa tengo poca paciencia con mi hermano pequeño porque me pone furiosa cuando no obedece a mis padres. Yo diría que soy bastante inteligente y trabajo duro en el colegio. Mi padre y yo somos muy similares porque somos deportistas y nos gusta el mismo tipo de música.
Translation:
Well, my friends say that I am very patient and nice, but I do not agree with them. At home I have little patience with my little brother because he makes me furious when he doesn’t obey my parents. I would say that I am quite intelligent and I work hard at school. My father and I are quite similar because we are very sporty and we like the same type of music.

Transcript:Me llevo mejor con mi hermana. Sólo tiene dos años menos que yo, así que nos gustan las mismas cosas. No me llevo bien con mi hermano pequeño porque está muy mimado. Siempre se sale con la suya y eso me pone muy furiosa. Mi relación con mi padre es excelente porque le gusta el deporte, como a mí, y es muy paciente. Además, siempre me ayuda con mis deberes de matemáticas. Por otro lado, mi relación con mi madre es terrible. Es muy estricta y no me permite hacer nada. ¡No es justo!
Translation:
I get on better with my sister. She is only 2 years younger than me, therefore, we like the same things. I do not get on well with my little brother because he is very spoiled. He always gets away with everything and that make me furious. My relationship with my father is excellent because he likes sport, like me, and he is very patient. Furthermore, he always helps me with my Maths homework. On the other hand, my relationship with my mum is terrible. She is very strict and doesn’t allow me to do anything. It’s not fair!

Transcript:Solemos cenar juntos en casa todos los días, a eso de las seis. Eso me gusta porque es una buena oportunidad de sentarme con mi familia y hablar un poco sobre el día. Paso mucho tiempo con mi padre. A los dos nos gusta correr y, por eso, hacemos footing todos los sábados por la mañana. Con mi madre y con mi hermano paso menos tiempo porque no nos llevamos muy bien, pero a veces ayudo a mi madre en la cocina o veo los dibujos animados con mi hermano en la tele. Mi hermana y yo vamos de compras cada domingo. Nos encanta ver la última moda en las tiendas y siempre lo pasamos de maravilla juntas.

We usually have dinner together at home, at about 6 o’clock. I like that because it’s a good opportunity to sit with the family and talk a bit about our day. I spend a lot of time with my father. We both like running and this is why we go jogging every Saturday morning. I spend less time with my mother and my brother because we do not get on very well, but sometimes I help my mother in the kitchen or watch cartoon with my bother. My sister and I go shopping every Sunday. We both love seeing the latest fashion in the shops and we always have a great time together.
