Higher PE - Evaluate questions
Evaluate questions refer to the end of the process and require you to look back on the effectiveness of something.
When answering evaluate questions, you need to:
- make a judgement
- support this judgement with evidence that shows why you said it was effective or ineffective
Each time you do this, you should write in past tense.
Whilst evaluating, you are looking to pick up one mark every two sentences.
Question
Evaluate how effective an approach was in developing your physical performance. (1).
Circuit training for my lower body was very effective because the continuous squatting really helped improve my muscular endurance.
The pupil has provided a clear judgement on how effective the approach was:very effective.
This was good because when it came to the last set of a recent volleyball match, my legs were not as tired and I was jumping over and over again, more than before to help block opposition spikes.
The pupil has now re-enforced this judgement by supplying evidence from an improvement in a recent match:my legs were not as tired and I was jumping over and over again, more than before to help block opposition spikes.
Question
Evaluate how effective your emotional development plan was. (1).
My emotional development plan was very good as it contained a variety of different approaches. This was good because it meant I never got bored doing the same thing. (judgement)
This meant my motivation stayed high in every session and my ability to control my anger improved by giving my all in each approach. (evidence to support judgement)
