The National 5 Physics exam is made up of two question papers. Paper 1 is a multiple choice paper. Paper 2 is made up of questions with several parts that need written answers.
Many candidates leave these questions until last or even avoid them as there is no ‘right’ answer. Similarly there is no easy way to prepare these two 3 mark questions.
Following the advice for explanation questions above, you should plan a response by listing the relevant physics and any relationships you understand from the course before writing an answer.
Most candidates are capable of gaining at least one or two marks by relying on what they know and understand from the course and having the confidence to write it out.
These answers are marked as a whole, so any wrong physics you include may detract from good parts of your answers but will not lose all marks.
