Methods of collecting data on all factors
A number of methods can be used to gather data on all four factors. The information here will be good to use as a starting point to give you a general idea of your strengths and what you might want to improve.
The questionnaire below is an example of a subjective method of collecting data on your performance on all four factors. The coach/teacher/performer would first design the questions based on what they want to find out. The performer would then complete this as honestly as possible before and after a period of training.
| Physical factors | Social factors | Mental factors | Emotional factors |
| Do you lack speed to get away from a defender? | Do you accept the umpire’s decisions? | Do you lose focus at any stage during performance? | Do you ever feel anxious or nervous before performing? |
| Are you passes always accurate? | Are you ever tempted to cheat to gain an advantage? | Do you worry about the decisions you make? | Do you ever feel frustrated or angry with your own performance? |
