Dw i wrth fy modd

One idiom that could prove very useful is:

Dw i wrth fy modd... – I love…/I really enjoy...

Dw i wrth fy modd gyda... (used with a noun or pronoun), eg: Dw i wrth fy modd gyda’r rhaglen.

Dw i wrth fy modd yn... (used with a verb), eg: Dw i wrth fy modd yn siarad â ffrindiau dros y we.

However, if you are referring to someone else, you will have to make certain changes, depending on who you’re talking about:

  • Dw i wrth fy modd... – I really enjoy...
  • Rwyt ti wrth dy fodd... – You really enjoy...
  • Mae e/o/Tom wrth ei fodd... – He/Tom really enjoys...
  • Mae hi/Emily wrth ei bodd... – She/Emily really enjoys...
  • Rydyn ni wrth ein bodd... – We really enjoy...
  • Rydych chi wrth eich bodd... – You really enjoy...
  • Maen nhw wrth eu bodd... – They really enjoy...
  • Mae’r plant wrth eu bodd... – The children really enjoy...

Exercise

Make a list of what you really enjoy and what you really love doing and then make a list of what your friends really enjoy and what they really love doing.
