Sudoku is a number-based puzzle game. The aim is to fill the 9×9 square grid using all of the numbers one to nine only once in each row and column, and within each of the smaller 3×3 grids. Players use logic and deduction to work out where the numbers can go.

• Using the numbers 1 to 9, fill the bigger grid (9×9 squares) so that each column, each row, and each of the subgrids (3×3 squares, also called 'boxes' or 'regions') contain all of the numbers from 1 to 9 exactly once.

• You'll see that each puzzle starts with some numbers already filled in. You can use these as clues to work out which other numbers fit. The harder the difficulty, the fewer numbers you'll see at the start.

• Use the notes tool to help you keep track of all the numbers which could potentially work in each empty cell.
