Children in Need

It's that time of year again - yes it's Children in Need time. This year Children in Need takes place on Friday 17th November. Let us know what fun antics you'll be getting up to.

Children in Need takes place on Friday 17th November 2006. Every year people do fun things to raise money.

As usual, we'd like to hear what antics you'll be getting up to for this year's Children in Need. It might even given someone else a bit of inspiration in their fundraising.

We have a collection tin where we have all been throwing in our loose change over the year so we'll be sending this in. Also we will have a "guess how much is in the collecting tin" competion. We'll be selling home-made cakes and biscuits through Children in need week and possible running a tombola.

Today at Crestwood Park Primary, Kingswinford we held a teddy bear's picnic, a raffle for Pudsey Bear and covered a very large Pudsey in pennies three and a half times! We're only a small school and raised £216.00 Thanks to everyone!

Pupils at the Phoenix Pupil Reintegration Unit in Kidderminster have raised more than £50 with Pudsey targets and the Pudsey scratchcard. They were sponsored for every Pudsey target they achieved during lessons today. We rounded off the day with a Pudsey quiz and Pudsey biscuits which the pupils decorated before scoffing.

Ankermoor Primary School held a Children in Need funday with face painting, many competitions with us also creating a Pudsey Bear out of our loose change raising a grand total of £151.00

Paul Power from Serco & Watch Security will be dressing as a leprechaun on Friday 17th, while carrying out his normal role at Cedar House, Birmingham. In addition for the last two weeks Paul has asked all visitors to this building to join his Children in Need raffle. Total so far £400 and growing !

1st Cheddleton Rainbow Guides
We invited all the families along to our meeting to play traditional board games, twister, giant dominoes etc and charged an entrance fee. This plus a sale of Xmas paper and cards made a total of £45.00.

The regulars at the Bulls Head in Polesworth will be holding a 24 hr games marathon, there are approx 20 people taking part, where by all the money raised will be donated to the cause. There is also a games knock out competition where by the final will be held on the 16th December. Again all money raised will be donated to children in need. We would all like to thank the landlords Bev and Brad for supporting such a needy cause.

Were having a sponsored dance at Penelopes Dance Studio. All the children are being sponsored to dance for one hour, some have managed to raise &150+!!!

Children at Maidensbridge Primary School, Wall Heath near Kingswinford will be taking part in a day-long talent competition entitled "I'm a Strictly X-Factor Celebrity". Acts such as dancers, singers, impressionists, comedians and instrumentalists will be featured. Each class will host heats during the day, with a final in front of the whole school at the end of the day with prizes for the winner. Each pupil at the school will pay £1 to take part or be a part of the audience.

From 9.30, all thro the day on Tuesday Nov 14th the 85 children at Waterhouses Primary School in the Staffordshire Moorlands, aged 3 - 11, will be dressing up to raise money for Pudsey Bear and Children in Need. They will be tackling an agility course set up in the school gym and looking for numbers along the way which they will collect up to stick onto a giant Pudsey. The more numbers they collect, the more money they will raise!! So 'COUNT US IN' We will be doing our bit once again for Children in Need. Supporters and publicity very welcome!!!

Our school, Four Dwellings Primary School in Quinton will be having a 'Pose as Pudsey' day on Friday 17th November. Children and staff will donate to the CIN appeal in return for the priviledge of being allowed to come to school that day dressed in a Pudsey fashion. The best costumes will receive Pudsey prizes.
