To hear young children who are born to the privelidge of freedom of choice, free education, free medical care and the opportunity, throw it away, is just an example of stupidity. Reading nearly everyones comments i come to a conclusion that everyone that live in birmingham will definitly "big it up" and not a place a negotive comment about their location. I personaly am 17 years and Birmingham is like my next hometown. I know alot of people from birmingham and comparing them to people were I live in staffordshire, they totally different. I do admit they are brought up more in ghetto style and have a different way of socalising with others because they be in groups, but that isn't an good enough excuse to say group ghetto's are bad. Crimes happen everywere and everyone are in groups, and there nothing wrong with that. I have friends that are black, mixed, and all brought but from ghetto ends and i personally brought up in such a way as well, but I have converted my self for the best at early stage. But one other thing is black just have their tradition just like white people have their own. just because their lifestyle have a little involvment of voilence it doesn't still convience me that ghetto's areas are bad.

I was born in Victoria road, Aston, in the fifties and I have taught in a school in Aston recently. Although the area has changed beyond recognition the people are still caring and worry about the tentions. Ive Been living in Handsworth all 20yrs of my Life and its not a Bad place at all, ive had no trouble there. You can only know a place by staying/living there. I went Kingstanding 2 or 3yrs back and had a brick threw at me and was Racially Abused being called a N***a. i've lived in B19 all my life, i couldnt see me living anywhere else. i have grown up round here so wot shud i b afraid of? Newton n Aston aint all dat bad. Da media is blowin evryting outta proportion! i dont like da media cah they twist the facts to make a better story. Straight up i would say dat people who aint frm da endz mite feel alikkle shook to pass thru but dats only cuz of wot they hear on the news n radio or read in da papers!
