It's always fun when you discover the age gap between actors and their characters in popular TV shows and movies - especially when you find that stars well into their 20s and 30s are are playing teenagers.
Fans of Channel 4's new comedy series Derry Girls were recently shocked to learn, external that one of its baby-faced stars, Nicola Coughlan, who plays teenager Clare, is actually 31 in real life.
This week also marks the 20th anniversary, external of the debut of US teen drama series Dawson's Creek - a classic example of a series in which some of the actors were much older than their on-screen characters.
