Featherweight champion deemed medically unfit for Nurmagomedov bout
A tumultuous week continued at today's UFC official early morning weigh-ins, as news broke that UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has been pulled from the card, just one day before the event.
UFC president Dana White confirmed that Holloway had been deemed medically unfit to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The co-main event title fight between Rose Namajunas and Joanna Jedrzejczyk was made official, with both athletes successfully making weight for their UFC women’s strawweight title rematch.
That bout may be promoted to the main event if Nurmagomedov is pulled from the card, but there may be an alternative available to the UFC.
Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis could be set to step in if he can make the 155lb championship weight limit.
If the Milwaukee native is ruled out, Philadelphia lightweight Paul Felder tipped the scales on championship weight for his bout with Al Iaquinta, and could be handed the opportunity of a lifetime if UFC officials decide to promote him up the card to face Nurmagomedov.
