Boxer Dillian Whyte gets roasted for dressing like Chicken Connoisseur

All eyes may have been on Joshua v Povetkin this weekend, but pundit Whyte didn’t go unnoticed thanks to his old-school dress code
Boxing events are usually an excuse to glam up and roll out the red carpet, and British heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte’s outfit didn’t go unnoticed when he was doing a bit of TV punditry for Anthony Joshua’s world title fight against Alexander Povetkin on Saturday night.
While Joshua was busy retaining his heavyweight titles in the ring, his old rival Whyte was gathering his own following for others reasons.
Whyte's shirt, tie and parka combo was getting traction all over the internet for its throwback feel. And because ‘The Body Snatcher’ is a tough nut, people didn’t hold anything back.
Even fellow British boxer Kal Yafai reckoned he looked like a supermarket security guard who’d just turned up after finishing his shift.
Most people agreed: he definitely looked professional.

But it was also hard not to draw comparisons with the Pengest Munch and Peng Life star, Chicken Connoisseur Elijah Quashie.
Accurate descriptions all, but you can’t go in too hard on Whyte though because, after all, he was probably just hoping to stay warm and dry in the London rain on Saturday night.
Remember, the man has a job to do, and his parka was the perfect, pragmatic choice for the situation - even if it did throw us all back to turning up for an interview at Dixons with a National Record of Achievement tucked under our arm.
(No-one ever looked at it, did they?)
