Paul Pogba releases video to announce his latest hairstyle

Yup, that's right. Middle-aged men everywhere are about to feel their blood pressure rise.
If your dad is currently turning beetroot at some of the astronomical figures being talked about this transfer window, then - for the sake of his blood pressure - DO NOT SHOW HIM THIS VIDEO., external
Paul Pogba posted a highly-produced Instragram video yesterday, and the sole focus of it, is him getting a trim from his barber.
It’s part observational documentary, part buddy movie – and we get a bit of an insight into what it might be like to hang out for a day with the World Cup winner.

It appears the 25-year-old superstar hasn’t got the longest of attention spans. So if you are going to book Pogba in for a haircut then maybe it's best to clear your diary for the day, because it seems the process will be regularly interrupted by a bit of a kickabout during which you should expect to get nutmegged a lot.

What begins as an al fresco haircut in the back-garden has to eventually be taken inside the house, presumably after it’s gone dark and Paul’s worn himself out. It’s only after he’s had a good play in the garden and fallen asleep that his barber is finally able to finish off his work and give the midfielder a fresh fade.

Big question: who's been looking after the #Poglawn while he's been away the World Cup? That grass is in serious need of a watering.
Anyway, this whole episode marks a return to form for a player who, untypically, hasn’t made any big waves with a new haircut for a while now.

In the video we see him having two stars dyed into his hair – to celebrate France’s second World Cup win. During the World Cup itself, he was surprisingly conservative on the hirsute front.
In a recent Instagram Q&A, he explained his decision not to change his hairstyle, saying, "I wanted peace to be only focused on my performance and not my look, so there is no excuse, they could only criticise the football part."
Historically, football experts the land-over have given a lot of good air time to analysing the irrefutable correlation between Pogba’s ostentatious hairstyles and his sometimes underwhelming performances on the football field. For instance, Gary Neville wasn’t too pleased, external with him dying his hair blue before the Manchester derby earlier this year.
However, following his part in helping France win the World Cup this year, the arbiter of acceptable footballer behaviour Roy Keane, decided that Pogba should have licence now to “do whatever the hell he wants” with his hair. Even going so far as to say, “I don’t mind Pogba dancing now. He’s entitled to it.”
So there you are, Paul. Licence. You do you.
