10 years on from his breakthrough single, one of dancehalls greatest innovators joins the line-up for 1Xtra Live this year. In his decade in dancehall Popcaan has cultivated a huge following of famous fans including Drake (who he has collaborated with many times), Snoop Dogg, Pusha T and Kanye to name just a few.
This year, he made the most of being in lockdown by completing FIXTAPE a collaborative project that took almost 5 years to complete finally getting done over the course of a month in his home parish of Saint Thomas which he recently described as “purely good energy and good vibes”. Let’s hope he brings the same energy with him to 1Xtra Live.
