Jaggy's soul searching trip down memory lane... Recent developments have changed Jaggy's perspective on things and he wasn't finding the answers holed up in Darren's flat. When Tina gave a wake up call to his conscience and asked him to go up to his family in Bury, he just took a one way ticket and went. Not that he had many options.
When Jaggy reached Bury he found many faces from the past who still recognised and remembered him as a star - the taxi driver, the pub owner, his old coach, and a few others he grew up with. The familiar places reminded him of his times as a teenager - with his friends in the pub, getting a place at the FA School of Excellence, TV interviews, cheering crowds and the works....
He remembers Faye - his first love from the days when he was a rebel without a cause and she was the carefree girl with dreams in her eyes. Those days seem so far away. He visits Faye and finds much has changed. Being a single mum with two kids has surely dusted off the sparkles from her dreams, but she seems content with her life. Jaggy feels like a total disappointment to himself and his family.
As the day progresses he thinks of his selfishness, his arrogance, his present situation with Tina, Simran & Kesar. Jaggy finally visits his folks- only to find them away. When his folks return, they are surprised to see him but he doesn't get the great welcome he was expecting. Everyone's busy with the Vaisakhi festival preparations. He feels a bit left out and blames his brother Jinx for putting him down all the time. Jaggy rows with Jinx and storms out only to return later when he hears about his favourite aunt Balbiro who is very ill.
Later his aunt tells him that they are all very proud of him but Jaggy expresses doubts about his dad feeling the same way. But Aunt Balbiro reassures him that all these years Mohan has been the one who kept all his trophies polished and recorded every match and interview Jaggy ever gave. She then gives him a locket as a good luck charm and tells him it'll keep him safe. Jaggy apologies to Jinx who tells him that the person he needs to apologise to most and be with at this time is Simran.
After much soul searching and with a collage of memories, a thoughtful Jaggy returns to Silver Street all set to meet his little son for the first time...
