Vinnie
“I first arrived on the scene as a favour to my Uncle Mani. Back in London, I turned the family restaurant around. Got it all decked out in the latest design and made it the staple of Brick Lane. When my Dad asked me to work my magic on his cousin’s restaurant Saffrons, I jumped at the chance. I drove up here in my Beemer, got stuck in at the restaurant and the rest is history. You see I see I’m a bit of a ‘trouble-shooter’ and if there’s problem I’m your man.
Kuljit wasn’t coping at Saffrons so I sorted things out and licked him into shape pretty quick. And now he's gone to run his studio I'm the main man as I should be! To be honest I can't see myself sticking around for too long though, I mean Silver Street's not exactly a swinging city! There’s only a few people around here who are worthy of my time. Kamla’s one of them; she’s my ‘diamond girl’. She had it a bit rough what with all that grief with her son Jai. Then of course there’s Kamla’s granddaughter, Jas. That girl is just amazing, we started off as friends but I knew she wouldn't be able to resist the charm that is Vinnie Mukherjee for long. OK I missed her when she went to New York but I can't let the grass grow under my feet. I can't deprive the rest of womanhood, that'd just be a crime!”
