
Nikki Bedi Biography
Nikki Bedi is the presenter of the new entertainment, arts and culture show, 'Nikki Bedi On The BBC Asian Network' weekdays from 10am-12:30pm.
Nikki was born in Aylesbury to an Indian father and an English mother and likes to describe herself as Indo-Anglian. She has lived and worked in Mumbai and L.A as a television presenter and an actress both on stage and television and feels privileged to have worked with some of India 's finest 'parallel fillum' directors. Her marriage to actor Kabir Bedi obviously gave her invaluable insights into the world of Hindi Movies.
Nikki began her presenting career with Channel 4, hosting a quirky on-location interview show, 'Bombay Chat' which lead to her hugely successful and controversial talk show on Star TV, 'Nikki Tonight'.
Returning to the UK in 2000, Nikki became the face of Universal's film channel 'The Studio'. She also hosted two live shows for NOW, 'Worldwide Screen' and 'Bollywood Now'.
She began her radio career on the BBC Asian Network in May 2004, presenting the weekend breakfast show 'Hot Breakfast' before moving to 'Drive' for a year and a bits' hard news experience.
Her voracious appetite for all things luvvie, fillumi, literary and pop trashy make this show her natural home on the Asian Network.
