Asian Network Unsung
Adil RayAdil Ray has his own BBC Asian Network Show, weekdays from 10pm-12.30am. He is also one of the hosts on BBC Two's Desi DNA.

Known as 'The Voice of Asian Youth in the U.K,' Adil Ray was born in Birmingham and is of Pakistani and Kenyan origin. Adil presents the only national nightly radio show for the UK's young Asians on the BBC Asian Network. His weekly half million listeners tune in for the latest in Brit Asian music, interviews and performances, as well as Adil's trademark outspoken, irreverent witty presenting style.

Adil was the very first British Asian to present a radio show for Choice FM. His Drivetime show on Galaxy 105 entered the Top 20 most listened to shows in the country, and that made him the first and only British Asian to present a show on mainstream commercial radio. Stints at Capital Radio Manchester and Ministry of Sound London then led him to front the BBC Asian Network's digital launch in 2002.

His TV career has seen him presenting The Last Word for Carlton TV, a late night talk show as well as UK reporting for the clubbing channel Rapture TV. He is currently the face of BBC2's music, fashion and lifestyle show, Desi DNA.
