This year the BBC Asian Network Unsung competition returns to provide another opportunity for undiscovered talent to gain exposure in the British Asian Music industry.
| Check out the Finalists Tips for singers Asian Network Live
What happens next? Entries were initially shortlisted from the audition tapes by a panel made up by BBC Asian Network producers. Three finalists have been chosen from this shortlist by a panel of judges chosen from the music industry. Listen to them here.
The three finalists will then go forward to receive performance training and have their performances broadcast on the Adil Ray show.
A clip of each performance will also go onto the BBC Asian Network website to allow listeners to vote for their favourite performer via the website and mobile phone text. The entrant polling the highest number of votes will receive a trophy for being the 'Audience Favourite'.
The finalists will go forward to perform at BBC Asian Network Live, a new music showcase to be held at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on March 31st.
There will also be a music workshop held in conjunction with BBC New Talent where the finalists will get performance tips from leading figures in the Asian music industry. From the final three, the overall winner will then be chosen on the night by our panel of judges.
And the overall winner will get the opportunity to create their own portfolio, including a professional demo recording and photo session, to highlight their potential as a music artist.
