CricketIndia completed a historic series victory by beating Pakistan last year. Do you think Pakistan can do the same in India? Read other people's comments and
have your say!

Aishah Liverpool
I think Pakistan is the best team in the world. I knew they were going to win! Haha on India

Raja, UK
Result: India 2 Pakistan 4. Go on Pakistan. Probably one of the best series ever where a team which was 2-0 down fight back to win the series 4-2.

Yunus, USA
For all the doubters, Pakistan has won 4-2! What a turn-around. This team is built as team not for star-power. India has been put in the abyss of deperation and its fine with me. Watch out WI.

Kaiser Feroz, Cardiff
Pakistan have a great side, with superb youth coming through the likes of Salamnn Butt and Kamran Akmal we are sure that Pakistan will dominate India for the next decade!

Ifty, UK
Just want to say congrats to Pakistan! We are worthy winners deserved it thoroughly. The way they worked...the passion which was evident and the team work displayed showed just how much we wanted this win and how much we believed we could win it. India made it easier for us by getting rid of their captain...he wasn’t performing but a very stupid move...and Indians looked like they were going to cry in ODI number 5..with Afridi bashing them to all parts of the ground, memories of a lifetime. This Pakistani team was written off from the start. The most weakest which had toured in recent memory without their spearhead bowler and a team which had been battered by Australia to come this far from so far behind shows the sheer quality. The team is still young and is going to get better...so watch out people...2007 is going to be our year.

Tauqeer, Luton
Team India.... and Indian media well done! My advise to Indian media is that please leave this word 'Team' for Australia because to call as 'Team India' needs consistent performance and Team effort which is missing in Indian team.

Sahara, UK
Well, the best team definitely won, and I’ve got to say that the Pakistani cricket team is much better without the likes of Shoaib Akther. It was a great series to watch!!

Bhuvan
Pak did really well, now India should go 2 hell. The game was really brainy; Pak won the series cuzz it was raining. Poor Gangualy was alone still he is able to create some problems in IZZy's backbone. Afridi was in really good form but why Gangualy was playing so wrong. Pak have won but India is still the DONE.

Joseph Benher, Canada
This is merely a blind decision by the selectors in keeping the man who is out of form as batsman and captain in the team. Except Rahul none of the players were up to the mark. India should keep the players like any other Government servants and not as models. If this kind of attitude continues, Not only in Olympics but in Cricket world also we will never be able to fetch gold. The day is nor far away that we are going to be easily outplayed by Bangladesh. Among a mass of 1 billion, we are not able to make brilliant 12 and is shame. Even we are not able to stand in front of Sri Lanka.

Kabir, Sheffield
Well guys the one day series is over and Pakistan is victorious, all due to a team effort with all chipping in. But I will add that with the aided help of Shahid Afridi who has shown a new way to ODI,s with opening, and whilst the batsman at the other end is playing himself in, Shahid Afridi has blasted the ball to all parts of the ground relieving the pressure from the batsman who are to follow. As everyone knows when you have a good total then you are giving your bowlers ample opportunity to bowl the opposition out. As shown in this one-day series... Good luck to India to for the future. But Pakistan were untouchable towards the end of the one-day series, and were unlucky to not have won the test match series also.

Ajay, Philadelphia
I am really baffled to read all the twisted logic in the papers in India regarding Ganguly. There is no doubt that Ganguly has done very well as captain and transformed this team. But, it is equally true that he does not deserve a place in the side on current form. Cricket is played on the day of play and not in the past! If it is played in the past - you should play book cricket! On any given day the best eleven should be on the field, period-I don't care who they are! Repeatedly talking about past achievement is merely stating the obvious and therefore stupid!! By the same token IF Ganguly regains form he could be back too.

Waqar, London
Well Well, what can be said about Afridi's performance? Magnificant! 9 - 6's and 10-4's...now that what u call batting! Actions speak louder than words and the Pakistani team have shown that! Well done to the Pak team...looks like the Indian team need 2 pray for a miracle in order 2 win the next game! But the Pak team will deliver the same performance as 2day!

Fasih, USA
The last three one-day matches have been remarkable. A very nice come back by Pakistan. As the whole world knows Pakistan is the best come back deadliest team. After winning last three matches continous back to back, Pakitan has made India look like bunch of amatures. Afridi was simply superb, amazing today. There was no one who could stop him, Did you watch his innings, oh that was breath taking. All those sixes and fours. Never ever seen anything like it. Afridi is some dude!!

Abinash Swain
Chance of fifty! They have to struggle because both are the strongest team. Most probably Pakistan may win it has very young players which might lead them on the way of winning on Indian pitch.

New Jersey, USA
Classic. The come back kings have done it again.

Shabz, Derby
Both teams are really good and do deserve to win. However I as a Pakistani I hope to see our boys win if not them I just hope for an interesting match to watch no matter who wins.

Bhupinder, North Harrow
I have given up of all cricket, again it look completely fixed. It is going to end up as a 3-3 draw, if it is different then I'm glad otherwise it’s a waste of people money and time, but the bookies are have a field of a day.

Umair Fazle, USA
The ODI's in India have become a joke. When a game's result is pre-determined by the flip of a coin, it is not called cricket. The BCCI should look out for the sport and not just for Team-India.

Al, UK
With three games to go, the series is yet open-ended. But judging by the toss–winning captain's relief, too much has rested on one coin.

Ovais, Birmingham
These are two very evnly matched ODI outfits. Pakistan has a better balance, but India make up for it with individual brilliance. If the Toss is so crucial, then the BCCI needs to think twice about laying such placid tracks. Bowlers can have heart attacks seeing such wickets. Good news for Pakistan is that they are peaking at the right time and that India have a lot of players out of form. Pakistan are starting to look deadly. But we all know what Ind vs Pak cricket is like. I would like to be optimistic and say that Pakistan should win 4-2. But that is far fetched at this moment. I would say however that 3-3 is very likely. India are good, but not as a team. Pakistan have a real unity at the moment.

Roshni U.K London
Well of course India is going to win because basically they are they BEST! I also think Gangully should be dropped but what we can do no one else wants to be captain. I think that Kaif and Yuvraj are the best fielders in the cricket team at the moment. I really hope India win the ODIs and show the rest of the world what we can do!

Umar Kalim, Pakistan.
The series has been a treat to watch. However had the spectators cheered both the teams fairly i.e. on merit, it would have been even better.

Kumar, UK
I think India will definitely win the series because every player in the team is trying to contribute something towards winning. Pakistan needs to do something aggressive in order to slow down India. If Pakistan lose 3 ODIs it will be very hard for the youngsters to recover and it will have a big impact on their confidence levels.

Anita, UK
Of course India is going to win the ODI. Going by the first 2 ODIs I think everyone is being wrong. India can chase a target and can also restrict the opposition. India will win the ODI without a single doubt. Pakistan doesn’t stand a chance.

Bharat, London
Well, there is always a lot to be said about India vs. Pakistan. The truth is both the teams are good at their side, and both of them play fantastic cricket when together. But at the end of the day it’s a game and you should always love to see whoever plays the best - no matter who they are. While supporting India, I would say that they play fantastic sometimes, and there are other times, when things do not work out. The last two one day matches have seen superb performances from the Indian side, especially Sehwag & Dhoni today, and weak performance from the Pakistani side, and there should be better judgement from Inzi. Good Luck to both the team, and viewers and friends, please keep watching the game. Enjoy it and don’t make it a political or personal issue. Appreciate the game and the spirit of sport.

Billal, UK
I think that Pakistan has an excellent team for the one day series but I don’t really think Nazir who is playing after 5 years should be playing. Shoaib Akhtar should come back as he is in good form. I hope Shahid Afridi performs well; because once he gets going there is no stopping him. He is the pressure reliever. But u shouldn’t underestimate the Indians as they also have an excellent team, despite the fact that Ganguly has been playing poor the past few matches. Good luck people, and especially the Pakistan team (big them up).

Meton
Bangladesh will defeat India in the next World Cup. Watch out for a young talent in their ranks by the name of Noor Uddin, he is an awesome batsmen in the same calibre as Tandulkar. Pakistan to go all the way in the ODI's.

Zaigham, uk
Well played in the test matches. Good luck for the ODIs. Brilliant cricket from both sides.

Aisha
Hi, I've followed all the recent test matches. I wish Pakistan All the best; I hope India will not take the last defeat as tarnish to their past outstanding performances! But lets face it Pakistan are looking in good form! May the best man win.

Bidur Niroula, Dharan, Nepal
Of course, Pak will win 4 out of 5 matches; it's seen that India is suited for Tests not for ODIs. India can neither chase the target nor restrict opposition from making runs. They need to improve in fielding and bowling. Dependency on slow bowlers might cost them on ODIs.

Ibrar Nazir, LA, USA
Yes Pakistan can beat India as long as they do the inning first.

Ghalib Imtiyaz Ahmad, Sydney
With all due respect to the Indian team, it's very obvious that leading into the ODIs Pakistan won the last 4 against India and they did very well against Australia confirming that they are a very good candidate for the no. 2 spot in ODI Ranking. However that being said, Indian pitches may not be the same as Australian pitches. Pakistan is already a very inspired team afresh from its memorable Test win. While Afridi's consistencies have been questioned in the past, he has shown matured abilities against Australia and India and if he can be consistent enough, the One Day Series is a forgone conclusion. Before the Test Series began, predictions were in the form of 0 - 3 while One Day series were 4 -2 in favour of Pakistan. As the weakest Pakistan team in living memory managed to draw the Test Series 1 -1, I will not rule out Pakistan winning the One - Day Series. However India will do great to pull out a win or two out of these six matches. However the series will inevitably belong to Pakistan. Afridi holds the key with both batting and bowling. Razzaq may stage a comeback the way he did in Australia.

Asad, UK
Results out, series drawn. Let’s just wish them good luck for the ODIs and well done both sides.

Alina & Sabina, U.S.
Yeah! We finally did it. The Pakistan cricket team made our day. Hopes up for the ODIs, and we hope that Pakistan will give a good performance.

Gurjinder, Kent
I think that India will win the series, although it has to be said that Pakistan have improved over the years. Ganguly can't handle the captaincy pressure and should step down.

Skii, UK
I knew we could do it! It’s just all the criticism against the Pakistani team, if you really look at the way they play, I think there is not another team made like this ever! Well done Pakistan! I’m looking forward for you guys taking the trophy with you!

Mehwish, U.S.A
So how about them Pakistani bowlers, let’s not forget they were playing without their strike bowlers. Confidence is what made the difference.

Saqib Khan, London, UK
I have no words to express my immense delight and happiness at Pakistan winning the last test. It was a real team effort and every one of the Pakistani players contributed beyond doubt to achieve success. I hope and sincerely wish that the players continue to work even harder and with greater enthusiasm to win the one-day series. Pakistan has cricketers of exorbitant talents but often lack sense of esteem and self-belief. Let us hope that this win will revive their diminishing vigour to win every match in the future.

Bunty, UK
Pakistan “Win” the final Test! Pakistan defeated India by 168 runs in the third and final Test to level the series 1-1. India set a victory target of 383, were shot out for 214 just before close of play on the fifth day at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Shahid Afridi claimed three wickets, while Mohammad Sami, Arshad Khan and Danish Kaneria bagged two wickets each to provide a thrilling finish to the highly competitive series. What did I say! Not to give up!

Usman, Glasgow
Looks like we shouldn’t write off Pakistan, especially against India! (What a test series)

DMN---Canada
As it stands in this last Test at Bangalore, India must be wise and play out for a draw, because I don’t think a win is possible. India must defend and only attack loose balls, because in no way should they throw away wickets and come under pressure. Whether Sehwag goes early or he continues, either way it’s a risk as you can never know how his partners play. India's chase for runs will be foolish if India lose the match and give Pakistan the glory of drawing the series. If India draws this match, Pakistan will go home losing the Test series. Prestige of India in retaining the series is far greater than foolish display and falling into the trap of Pakistani bowlers. So hope wiser council prevails. I am a solid Indian supporter, but in this Test Pakistan are in the driver's seat, and India should play with aggression and wisdom with no hurry in sight as there is no further Test and India must play at all cost for an honourable draw.

Kully, UK
India has been consistent throughout the series. Only on this final test have we not seen the whole team perform. Pakistan has shown no consistency at all, only one big partnership as we all know. India will win the series!

Ash, Birmingham
WOW! Pakistan have proved that they are not a weak team after all. Younis and Inzy did well. Go boys! U can do it!

Asif Parkar, Kuwait
The Indian team is one of the best teams in the world and India will win the test series as well as the one day internationals.

Asif Parkar, Kuwait
Indian team is one of the best team in the world and India will win test series as well as one day internationals.

Bunty, UK
Tahir guess what!! Pakistan has already bounced back!! I don't understand why you people give up so quickly! Just because Pakistan lost one match it doesn’t mean India is that good! I have backed Pakistan since I was born and will continue to support Pakistan till the day I die! I am not just saying cos I am a Pakistani, Pakistan is a strong country and will fight till the end. Not only in Cricket, also in all other sports. Watch it people Pakistan is back! Today you will see plenty of good balls bowled and wickets taken! Pakistan will win today in Bangalore and level the series. One Day series will also be in Pakistan's hand.

Dav, Birminghan
I feel India will survive the final test with at least a draw. It is because Pakistan do not have the bowlers to worry the Indian team. Which I am surprised about as is use to be there greatest strength.

Mehwish, USA
I just hope Pakistan get everything together for the upcoming world cup. The team needs a lot of work, especially the opening pair. This series, well I was crushed after the 1st test, but the 2nd test, I think Pakistan can only manage to draw it. BBC Asian Network rocks. We should be able to watch live cricket online.

Ayaz K., California, USA
Living in the USA for last 13 years, if not totally most of the part out of touch with Cricket but still when some major cricket season starts. I try to follow up at least for the final results. Whenever it happens, same old religion, culture thing comes in between these two cricketing nations and people get oblivious of the fact that it is just a game not a battle field. All I can say is that in the field, please put the hatred, rivalry and animosity aside and play in a friendly sportive air or it will spark the outrage one more time and a few more lives will be lost.

Abbas Salloo, Walsall
let's hope the best team wins.

Deepak Khurana, Poland
Well its very hard to say but still we have to think best and definitely we will get best. But This is just a game and we have to look it as a "Game only” we should not hurt anybody's feelings...Let peace prevails.

Abid Raza, UK
Well I always looked down upon India as a cricket team with any talent and still do (apart from Irfan Pathan now). The reason is just look at the stats and you would know. Lagging far beyond Pakistan at the winning stand, be it test or ODI cricket and they tell me that Tendulkar is the best batsman in the world, just look at his stats again, targeting teams with virtually no bowling attack whatsoever. True! he did made sum centuries against quality teams(I put only Australia n Pakistan in this category cuz of their sheer abundance of talent perennially).

Sara, USA
Just because it looks like India is going to win, doesn't mean Pakistan won't win, it might be an unpredictable match. Instead of critiquing the team support them.

Mahoob, UK
I love India and just want to them to win becuase its a huge match!

Tahir Bham
Hi, I just want to say that I think Pakistan will lose the tests but will bounce back in the One Day International matches! If pakistani boys don't win I will support India becuase I am a glory hunter!

Karim, Toronto - Canada
Boy oh boy!!! Was it the Pak 'A' team playing or a bunch of school kids? Yeah sure, they put up a 'fight' in the first test and almost put another in the second. But I am getting really frustrated in seeing the Pakistan bowlers bowling without any direction, strategy or maturity. It seems like a bunch of kids have been given the bowl in their hands and told "ok....bowl". Look at the Indians when they bowl. They bowl with a plan and a purpose. I wish Pak could do that since I am a huge Pak. fan. But it hurts to watch them play. The entire team needs some direction and a dose of purpose. Is Woolmer doing a good job?

Zeeshan, USA
Well well, Woolmer said Pak will come back, but I highly doubt that, mainly for the fact that we are too inconsistent. When our bowling clicks, our batting fails, vice versa. Not only that, but Sami is completely out of form, and Kaneria has the whole task on his hands alone. In batting, I don't see why they keep playing Tafeeq, he is so vulnerable to fast bowling! Anyways, Im 100% sure India will win the Test Series*. Congrats to Indian fans. (and no, I am a Pak fan, but I respect the better team).

Shiv, Netherlands
India is the better team and should have been 2-0 by now. The pressure is on Pakistan to win the last match to get a drawn. Their batsmen have to attack more, which will make it easier for the Indian bowlers. Confident India wins this series 2-0

Saqib Khan, London
I believe that the Pakistani players have lost the will to win. They do not do their home work before a match and lack enthusiasm on the field. Majority of the players are more interested in nights out, disco dancing and some have been seen drinking in clubs at nights before a match. The openers have become a joke of every town and the bowlers lack direction and intelligence. I do firmly believe that the players need a stick to put them in their places and all of them ordered to get up at 5AM, run five miles everyday first thing in the morning, do some excercises and practice for two hours instead of geting up at 8AM before the start. I feel sad to say that with the present attitude of lethargic enthusiasm, Pakistanis cannot win the third test. I dearly wish, I am proven wrong.

PSC - Stoke
I would like India to win, but more importantly if the bangalorians can accept the Pakastianians and give them a very warm welcome, then I think we would win any way. In the same manner as the Pakastianians won over the Indian hearts during our tour to Pakistian. I hope India will remember the importance to build relationships for the furture. May god bless our relations through the cricket match.

Tania, USA
Good Luck to both teams, I m actually enjoying this, hopefully pakistan will be fine, you guyz good luck

Ambarish Melbourne
It was a great win for team India. I wish them all the best for next knock !!

Seema, London
Well well well!!! As somebody said actions speak louder then words and India has done its fans proud! Well done boyz!! Keep up the work and we can win! Its just a matter of time!!

Tahir, Bham
I love the Pakistani boys. I just wish they don't let be down again!! We will be firing on all cylinders against a wicked Indian team!!! Game on!!!

Sreekanth, India
Pakistan team's bowling is of club level. India will win the series 2-0.This Pak team is not enough to beat India.

MS, UK
Isn't it about time Ganguly is given a rest to regain his form and Kumble given the captaincy? Dravid is an excellent batsman but I don't think he should be given the captaincy as Tendulkar has proved that good captaincy and good batting performance don't always go together.

Soni UK
Well, India won 2nd test match and they make so big deal of it? I thought these matches r to bring friendship between 2countries, but after watching last years series and this year I get the feeling that Indian’s players hates Pakistani’s players and take game as a war. I seriously think Pakistan should kick out Shahid Afridi than they may have a chance of winning.

Gurjit Singh
Wow! What a Test Match, through out the test match Pakistan followed the same trend as India (i.e getting out for 400, losing critical wickets on last overs of the days) but at the end, experienced Kumble bowled us to victory once again, picking up another 10 wicket haul. Also, I’d like to say, even if Ganguly is not performing with the bat, he should be in the side just as caption, if it wasn't for his trap on the end of the fourth day to set up Afridi , India may well of lost the Test match, but as it turned out, due to Ganguly's move on the fourth dfay, it resulted in Afridi getting out, which brought pressure upon Younis Khan, and as wee all saw, he was out First ball of day 5, which set the mood for Victory for India, all because of the plans by Ganguly , and the superb execution of these plans by Harbhajan and Kumble .

Prabhu Chellamuthu, Glasgow
Congratulations India on their victory over Pakistan. Pakistan has a big heart (some of its players play with lots of guts) and will fight but India is a better team and I only see two possible results in the Bangalore Test - an Indian victory or a Pakistani draw. There are three sore points for India. The first is Saurav Ganguly, he has become a very inconsistent and unreliable player. I personally do not think he is a good captain, he has had a good reign because Team India has performed well. Ganguly at best is a cheer leader, and that can very well be done sitting in the dressing room. Some may even say that he is already a non playing captain! The second problem is with the inclusion/exclusion of Laxman. I cannot understand why some people want Laxman out of the team. Sure he has been inconsistent and lack lusture of late, but he is a genuine batsman of a high calibre. Mohd. Kaif or Yuvraj Singh are not exactly Bradmans in waiting. Laxman is a class act, can be atrociously the other way round as well, but he is a fantastic player with natural flair. If some one wants to still fire him, I will only say - OK do it, but first fire Ganguly! If a class act like Laxman need to be sacked, then a classless act Saurav should go first.

Suresh, London
What a good commentating by Indian commentators! You could clearly feel they were taking Indian side! If Pakistani bowlers were taking wickets they were just saying, oh! He is bowled... comparing 2 when Indians took a wicket, Yes oh yes! He’s bowled him! Yep he's gone! What a ball!! Why are Indians so Hippocratic? I miss when they were playing in Pakistan! Everything was just right! Spectators behaved very well! How colourful the 2004 tour was!! Pakistani people were so hospitable! Why can’t we Indians be like them?

Sageer Khan, Birmingham
I think that without Shoaib Akhter, Pakistan’s bowling attack is useless. They need him! They can’t bowl India out quickly because Shoaib isn’t there. Let’s pray that Shoaib will be back soon!

Salman, USA
Surely Ganguly needs to go out as a captain for India. I personally believe the only reason he is not performing well is that he takes to much pressure of being a captain. If that happens, India’s middle order could be very strong. As for the Pakistanis, I have only one thing to say, what ever you do, we will always love you all, just play hard and have fun because its just a game, nothing more nothing less.

Pavan.K Newcastle Upon Tyne
The present Indian team is the best in India’s history and they should believe in themselves. Put the best efforts possible into winning the series. Men in Blue, keep your spirits high and all the very best for the remainder of the series.

Sal, Midlands
Pakistan played well on Thursday but they didn’t play well today. You never know who is going to win. It might be Pakistan. India has won many times so they should lose this time.

Saeed, London
India is definitely the stronger side, Pakistan are merely playing for draws. This test depends on the ability of Ganguly to mix the use of paceman like Pathan, Balaji with a good spin. Lets hope that India will triumph, but more so that this game will be played in good spirit.

Sadia and Uzma , London
Younis and Yousef have just proved what fantastic players they are. Yousef can go on to become the best Pakistani batsman. Good luck to Pakistan.

Adil Ray, B'ham
I must say the highlight off day 2 for me would be Tendulka's wicket. How well did Razzaq bowl, he bowled so well that he foxed the umpire aswell!!!

Deepti, Leicester
I have been watching all the test matches so far and I must say India's performance is outstanding!!! I think Rahul Dravid is performing extremely well but Pakistan have also proved themselves. Good luck to both teams, yet I have got a feeling India has the better lead and will win.

Zeeshan Shaikh
I just want to say that, it was a magnificent performance by Yousaf Youhana and I hope he becomes the best player in the tournament.

Hadis, Aston
How come when the Bangladeshis play they don’t get this kind of coverage? Remember we beat the Pak team in the 99 world cup!

Sanjay Patel, Manchester
Pakistan have a youthful team with great potential but still have a couple of years to develop. India on the other hand have a better team but still they are no match for Pakistanis. Ganguly needs to give up the captaincy. Go one you Pakistanis!!!!!

Sid, Bham
All i can say there has been a outstanding preformance from the both sides but today pakistan stole the day with a wiked preformance from younis and youhana... its time for pakitsan for some revange let say

Big P, UK
Hi everyone?? i just wanted to say that we are witnessing a great match but lets be real here its only a match not a dispute over land!!

Saeed Oslo
At the end of second day of the second test Pakistani batsmen made the mokery of Indian seamers and spinners. This is exactly what I predicted in conclusion after the end of day 1 game. Unless some drastic changes occur with the pitch this match will be ended in draw. Those who has so far underestimated the potential of Pakistani batsmen must stop and give new thoughts after the performance of Yohanna and Younis.

Ziad, UK
Pakistan are the more confident this is typified by their excellent batting. The Indians expect too much too soon.

Muji, Solihull
What a performance today by Younis and Yousuf. Seemed to me like Veeru and co find it hard to take a bit of their own medicine! Pak are playing great, win, lose or draw they are doing their fans proud with the character they are showing. I think maybe they are playing so well because everyone slated them as being a weak side, when in truth, they are not. The only obstacle they have is that they fail to see their own talent. I just get the sense, with the manner in which they are playing, that they seem much more relaxed than last year. As well as this, morale seems to be high and players heads don't drop no matter what the situation. This can only be a major plus for Pakistan cricket. Well done boys, keep up the good work and make those who wrote you off go red with embarassment!

Gill, Ukraine
Both teams are balanced. If Pakistani players can stay longer on the wicket, they surely can win 2nd test.In one day matches India performs generally badly

Kal
Win /Lose..Let peace prevail,,its been too long!

karthik kannan, US
India needs to get Kaif into the side. Ganguly cannot be an automatic selection just because he is captain. You should pick your side and then your captian and not vice versa. I also think though Pakistan's batting seems weak on paper, they are very talented and on their day can match India's batting easliy. Pak's bowling on the other hand is weaker than India's. Where are all the lovely pace bowlers gone. It used to be every Indian cricket fans envy that Pakistan could produce bolwers like the GREAT Ws, Imran, Aquib Javed etc. However with pitches like the ones in Mohali I dont think there is much difference between Pak's or Ind bowling.

kanagaraj, India
Indian are doing well when compare to pakistan, they are fail to put a pressure for pak.

AK - USA
I don’t think India has any 'Trump Cards' like Pakistan does. Pakistan has players like Razzaq, Affridi, Sami, Yohana, Shoib Malik. These players usually perform best under pressure and give their carrier best when push comes to shove. I Didn’t count Inzi cause you can always rely on him. With so much ‘Potential’ PK Team will not go down easy and I think will come out victorious in both forms of the game. The Team proved their potential in the first test when every one counted them out.

Suresh(netherlands)
india is the better team, with bat& ball.if they'll win in kolkata, they'll also win the series can't see pak win

Omar, Fort Worth-Texas
On paper India have a more consistant batting team. However, Pakistani batting can beat any team as long as they play to form. Unfortunately, I think on this pitch, we'll end up with a draw but hopefully Pakistan will win.

Mohammad - USA
I think India has a good chance of at least winning one test match out of 3 test. Both teams, and specially their captains are taking things very seriously to have an upper hand on the test. Good Luck to both of the teams. It is one of the best ways to bring the friendship of these countries and citizens of both India and Pakistan around the world.

Saeed, Oslo
At the end of first day of the second test one can fairly say that the match is so far in balance. The wicket will prove to be easy for run feast for Pakistani batsman and any score 400 plus should not be difficult to make for Pakistani side. It will be interesting to see how Harbajhan and Kumble will deploy the wicket in their own favour when both Shahid Afridi and Danish have so far failed.

Masood, Kabul, Afghanistan
Frankly, India has a better chance to win this series if they play with full confident; the reason is this series is being played in their own country.

Salima, USA
I'm a Pakistani but I think the Indian team will win. I know what Pakistani fans are thinking, but guys, accept the truth. The truth is that the Indian team is much better than ours is so they're going to win.

Qaiser, spain
I think both teams are equal, India can win test series but they can not win one day series because they don’t have such a talent in the one dayers, I hope Pakistan will win.

Omar Khan, Bristol
I think Pakistan can do it only if they sort there top 3 batsman. I know it’s going to be hard but they can do it. They can they need Afridi in because he can get some runs on the board, Hammed and Tafeeq Umar and Pakistan can win.

Basu Srinivasan, Dallas Texas
By failing to win the Mohali Test from a position of immense strength, India has helped to rejuvinate the Pakistan Team. They now head to Calcutta psychologically stronger than India. I would not be surprised if India loses the game at Eden gardens. This venue has never been lucky for us.

Monim Mannan, Lahore, Pakistan
Hats off to Kamran and heartiests felicitations on his maiden century!

Pramod, Pune(WNS)
No one can predict anything in Cricket and when it comes to India VS Pak players from both of the side treats the game like religion. We saw a good cricket last year and hopeful of this year as well.Best will win and time will tell us who's the best........

Ismail
What a great performance by the Pak boys, just when the Indians thought they had us beaten! All the Indian fans here say how great their batting is, without giving Pakistan any recognition of the awesome talent they undoubtly present. I’m not going to predict, as were all human and the truth is that no one knows what can happen. But one true fact - even though consistency has been a problem, Pakistan are the most talented nation on earth in terms of cricketers!

Madiha, Abu Dhabi
Although India are hot favourites, I am quite confident of Pakistan team and I know for a fact that the poor Indians will loose...and too on their own soil!

Zahid, Birmingham
Pakistan lost to India in Pakistan and will do so in India as well because of the failure of their openers. This failure has been self inflicted by Pakistani selectors. After a poor performance by their team in the world cup of 2003 they dropped 8 players from the team among them Inzamam and Saeed Anwar the least and most successful batsmen of the world cup. Inzi was brought back and look how he has performed since but Saeed career was ended well before it deserved to be. That has been Pakistan's loss, and of the likes of Umar and Butt.

Osman , Canada
I see that every one thinks that India has an upper hand for this series. I would like to remind every 1 that it is a cricket game, its not about indo-pak politics, its not about home or away series, its all about showing the spirit to win. which ever teams accepts the challenge and work hard will win at the end. As you can see from last day's game today that Pakistani tail enders had shown the spirit and excepted the challenge and took away the victory from India’s hand. It’s not about having an upper hand it’s about players showing some spirit in accepting the challenge to win.

Mujahid Rasheed, UK
Pakistani players did excellent performance on last day in Mohali test and prove their self a level-headed side in front of Indian side; by the way the help of Allah was there so nobody can beat them. I should praise Inzi and Company and all Pakistani’s are delighted for this draw.

Irfan, Birmingham
Come on India!!! although the 1st test was a draw it showed the full potential of India’s batting line up...the team is fully fit and inshallah victory will go to India in Kolkata and Bangalore.

Shy, Sheffield
Pakistan doesn’t like test matches, we like to play fast, aggressively and with flamboyancy which makes us a one day side. Woolmer needs time to change the players’ mindset which is why Pakistan is inconsistent. We need to back him and not think of chopping and changing, which is what has got us in trouble in the first place.

Ali Zafar, UK
Again a good day of cricket, but it was quite sad to see Inzmam and Youhana leave the crease... But not 2 worry hopefully rest of our batsman will do well and make a Substantial score! It might be too early 2 say who will win! But i'll still say Pakistan!

Zahid,Finland
I think Pak is not Pak anymore, because there are lots of new players, Pak would win in bowling rather than batting. I see India as a best batsman and Pak for best bowlers. I wish Waqar and Wasim was still in Pakistani team.

Prem from Pune
Lets Cricket be the winner ..... People who live abroad do not understand this.

Partha,Toronto
Cricket like any other sport is unpredictable till the very end. This time the Indian team looks more determined and talented than the Pakistan team, so I am sure they will win. But who knows about tomm !!!

Ahmed , USA
The Indian team, being more experienced has the best opportunity to win two series in a row. Pakistan is a young team. With the exception of Inzy, Youhana and Razzaq most of the players are still learning the ropes so give them a break. As for Shoaib, yes he was (and might still be on some occasions) a match winning bowler. But his performance has dropped and his attitude has gone up. Pakistan is far better off without such characters. We need team-work and not individuals to win games. If cricket was not a team sport, then Shoaib would be good. Unfortunately, he only plays for himself and not for the team. We noticed the difference once he was out in Australia; it was almost like Pakistan was a different team. Let’s hope for a good contest, irrespective of whoever wins. Good luck all.

surabathula. Singapore
It's impossible because it's not their own soil. Indians are in good batting order and strong at bowling. Pakistan have had tonnes of pressure in this series, their weak point is they had lost a series in their own pit.

Ammar
Peace All. Just enjoy the game for entertainment sake people, don’t be flexing ya pecks at each other. Pakistan have more talent, but no system, no real set up to channel it productively. we are amateur professionals; namely, in a class of our own where eben the theory of relativity breaks down. enuff sed!!

Malik, Leicester
I think Pakistan doesnt have a good team, to be frank i have lost hopes from Pakistani team just after great Wasim Akram retired, but all the best with Pakistani team ....come on u guys !!!

Anuj India
For us Indians this series More than a cricket. Our relation are improving because of this game.It does not matter us who wins. We just want to see a good relation between India and Pakistan.I request all Indians And Pakistani who live abroad to stop fighting using media. Lets hope at the end of the Series Nither Pak nor India but cricket will win.

Aftab, UK
It was a good day of cricket for Pakistan today! but not so good for India.. specially for Mr Tendulkar as to he couldn't do his full century.. He tried a lot but what can i say his luck just wasn't with him! Inshallah!! Pakistan would be Victorious!!

Ali, London
I think Shoaib Akhtar should play and I know Pakistan will have better chance of winning.

Srinivas ,Raleigh,USA
Pakistan looks like a club team,Inzamam is the only player of world calibre. Sami is overrated and I don't think Pak has enough fire power to stop sehwag and company.

Najabat, UK
I am for sure that Pakistan will beat India!! Look, we have done it before and we'll do it again n again!! Ask Indian team how many times we beat them on their soil! Guess what they can't even remeber! so don't bother asking & to you all indians.. MATCH IS ON!! Ramesh, what you talking about Rameez this and that!! before you see him as a commentator.. for ones see him as a PROUD PAKISTANI! if you do listen 2 commentators then listen carefully to what your Indian commentators talk about! Don't worry you also have empires on your side!! GO PAKISTAN!

Abid Jahangir, Bradford
I think it be will a draw, as rain came on 2nd day India are trying to score as quick as possible to retain their average 450 runs on their 1st day but their tactic may loose them a match, but other hand Pakistan may be loking for a draw but wish them good luck.

Mohammed , Coventry
Wwell as an Indian I would love 2 see India win and as the way it is going looks all good. I just hope it is a close series main reason being we dont want to say any fights or arguments btween the 2 countries and within the country it self.

Ammar, Bradford
As far as the wonderful game is concerned, India obviously have a stronger team, and are especially good at test cricket. Very much enjoying the match purely as entertainment. I do not like the attitude that some people are displaying. The Indo-Pak community of the UK have always been a model of excellence for guvs. Lets enjoy the entertainment, spread the love, and not let nationalism be root to any peck flexin, turbo mouthin, idiotic hoo-haa.

Alisha, Middlesbrough
Pakistan are going to win because they have the best players all round. Good luck to them.

Suresh, Netherlands
India will bat the whole day today scoring 500+. Then Kumble, Sehwag, Tendulkar will finish the job.

Ashok, USA
Many things were said about Shoaib, they said because of him, they lost the match in Australia and they blamed this single man every time there is a defeat for Pakistani’s. Now that Shoaib is not here in India, and Indians are scoring at a very good rate, they will blame again Shoaib this time, the defeat or loss is because of him since he is not in the team. No one likes to take responsibilities in the Pakistan team. I am seeing a lot of things written here in this post about Pak win. How can u dream of the same, when your bowlers nor fielders are not doing the job. All you know is to blame your player or you blame the umpire's decision.. etc.etc.. Fielding will make a team win or loose a test match. Pak fielders should be on their toes to such a critical match and the Captain is the one who should give them the boost. Will love to see Inzaam and his men perform better on Indian Soil. It will be a great clash of the Titans if the Pak's really realize their potential and stand to it.

Shib, Kolkata
India will repeat last year's show. Start from where they left beating Pakistan last year on their soil. This will happen again but on home soil, now. My 3-Cheers for INDIA.

Aisha, Birmingham
I think Pakistan will do well and will WIN cus after all they do have world class batsman and bowlers! We shall have 2 wait and see what the result states!

Aarat Patel, Portsmouth
Today's innings from both sehwag and Gambhir has been brilliant. Feel sorry for bowlers especially Mohammed Sami they tried all they can to get wicket but hey apna veeru is not gonna give up is he ;). I hope Sehwag goes on to score at least 150 2mrw as he has wonderful partner on the pitch "The Great Wall of India". if they can survive first 45mins of 2mrw morning i bet this game is ours to Win i.e India

Ahmed, Wolverhampton
It's going to be good match and Indians will show thair talent and Pakistan will have to ask for god for help.

Ashu, Chester UK
Actions speak louder than words and India has proved it. Today's play was affected by rain otherwise India would have surpassed Pakistan's score. If Indian batsmen manage to put up a total of 600 then it will be an inning defeat for Pakistan. Only god can help Pakistan and Pakistani team must be praying for more rain now.

Karan
I am an Indian and I think Pakistan will win cuz they are better team. I can understand what's the Indian fans are thinking but truth hurts.

Rashad Mahmood Bradford
Early indications shows that Pakistan is lacking in confidence (bowling) they need someone to stand up and inspire them and inspire them quickly before its too late. Who is going to provide the magical spark? SAMI, He has to perform and steal the headlines to ensure Pakistani public and rest of the world that there is a life after Wasim & Waqar in Pakistan cricket. Danny Boy is looking very good but he needs a support from other end.

Ajay Rakhra
I think India will win they have upper hand, But you never know, There is old saying "Cricket is by chance"

Adeeb, UK
I think Paksiatan will improve in the Test..players r a bit nervous and aint had practice but im sure the will lift there game and hopefully beat India.

Saira, Birmingham
I would like Pakistan to win the reason is because they are simply the best as I see it. The point is because I am a Pakistani and I shall support them no matter what.

Akhtiaz Abbasi, Islamabad, Pakistan
Definitely Pakistan will beat India as did in 1999. Although Pakistan is short of Shoaib but Sami and Naveed will do best for Pakistan and in batting Inzimam and Youhana.

Ramesh, London
Sony made me rise from the bed half-an-hour earlier than I needed to be. Believe me rising at o3.55 is not pleasant and the worst thing is that my body clock is now set to rise at 03.55. Sony never said when it will start showing the match and other media were stating it would start at 0400. Atun Lal as a commentator talks too much and is hasty. Commentator Rameez Raja is biased in favour of Pak. I know this after watching cricket for many years. Younis Khan was out lbw and the replay showed the decision was fair the ball pitching on the leg stump not outside. Yet Rameez kept saying the decision was "marginal." Even when Inzamam was adjudged lbw, Rameez exclaimed, "Given him", implying was not out. But the replay showed that althouh the stride by Inzamam was long, the ball was going to hit hit the middle stump or very near it. It was a good decision. On the other hand Koertzen ruled 2 other close decisions in favour of the batsman. Replays could not validate them as being correct. Laxman dropping Kamal when he was 79 means Laxman needs to bat better than what he has done in the last several matches to deserve his place. It is of course today Tuesday, the 2nd day, and my body clock has already made me get up before o400 but trust my luck! The rain has delayed the play and we don't know when it will start. I am anxious to see India bat today and do not wish to miss a single ball.

yasir, from Canada
I think, now its turn for Pakistan for India to beat. India has upper hand and they seem to be over confident.

Nabil Akhtar, High Wycombe
I would like to see India vs. Pakistan in the final in 2007 world cup. This tour in India is going to be massive.

Ashok, UK
India will beat Pakistan because of their batting power. Go on boys!

Mohan, New York
Kaif absence wrong - Azharuddin By Ayanjit Sen BBC in Delhi I am shocked that even BBC has to write about quotes from people like Azharuddin, who has been banned for life for betting in Cricket. Who cares what this man has to say. He is a -----.

Raghu, Manchester
I am a student in Manchester and work in the weekend. So I hope the first test to not finish by Friday so that I can wear my Indian jersey to work place to show my support to India because most of my friends at work place are Pakistani.

Roshan, USA
I think Pak batted well unless you think to NB then every batsman should score a century! Critical first session on Day 2.

Imran, Leicester
Well they both have fifty fifty chance. What ever happened with Pak can also happen to India.

Reena, Leicester
Ganguly is past his sell by date. I think Pakistan will bowl enough wides 2morro to lose the match without the need for any Indian batting stars.

Sandeep, UK
I can't wait for this tournament to start. I got a feeling India has the upper hand but good luck to both of the teams.
