On Friday 1st May, Holly Hamilton tackled some of our viewers consumer issues, including how to bring a Section 75 claim.

If you paid for a product or service on a credit card, and the cost was between £100 and £30,000, Section 75 says you can get some or all of your money back if;

  • The product or service is faulty,

  • If the company you bought the product or service from breaks their contract with you,

  • Or if the company does not deliver what they have promise.

If the above applies you may be entitled to your money back even if the company has gone out of business and ceased trading.

Generally you can make this claim on your banking app or website, and you can even check if you can do this at your bank branch.

There are also online tools on sites such as Citizens Advice, where you can fill in all your information and it will compile a claim letter for you. You can find this here, external.
