Weekend Wardrobe - One

In the first programme of this series for aficionados of DIY fashion, we are introduced to designer Caroline Charles as she produces the patterns to be used in the show. We see how a pattern is made and then presenter Ann Ladbury demonstrates how to make a pleated skirt in the studio. Easy when you know how.

When she was starting out in the fashion industry, Caroline Charles spent a year working for Mary Quant. Over the years her clients have included members of the Beatles, Marianne Faithfull, Mick Jagger, Emma Thompson and Joanna Lumley.
