1957: Unexploded World War Two bomb defused underwater

“How many ways can it go off?”

This was probably not the most tactful question to ask someone preparing to deal with a 1600 lb unexploded mine discovered under London’s West India Dock.

However, this sort of thing was all in a day's work for the 51st Minesweeping Squadron in 1957.
