The Duke's Award - Part 1

On its 30th anniversary, Prince Edward discovers who takes part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme by meeting participants from all backgrounds across the country. In the first of two programmes, he dispels myths about the scheme being a 'middle-class club' and considers why it appeals to so many young people at home and abroad.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award has now spread to 144 nations and over six million people have started the programme since 1956.
