Q.E.D. Round Britain Whizz

Squadron Leader Thilthorpe flies an RAF Hawk at incredible speeds as he attempts to zoom round the coast of Britain in just half an hour. As breathtaking scenery flashes past, experts explain details of how the coastline was formed and the legends that haunt it.

The Hawk was first flown by the RAF in 1974 and has been used for fast-jet pilot and weapons training since 1976. Its maximum speed is 622 miles per hour.
