Lake Suvasvesi and the Taiga forest, Finland

Cuckoos, redwing, pied flycatchers and redstarts sing along the forest boundary throughout the long daylight hours of the far northern spring and occasionally the haunting voice of a black throated diver rings out across the mirror surface of the lake.
