Johnny Giles, Republic of Ireland international and member of the 'Busby Babes', talks about leaving home at 15 to play for Manchester United, recalls the great Matt Busby and remembers the Munich air disaster, which claimed some of the brightest footballing talent of the day. He discusses his time at Leeds with former club managers Don Revie, Brian Clough and interviewer Jimmy Armfield and reflects upon the fortunes of the Republic of Ireland international squad, of which he was player-manager for much of the 1970s.
