Football Legends - Billy McNeill

Celtic icon Billy McNeill remembers the team he led to European Cup triumph in Portugal in 1967, the first British side ever to win the trophy. As Celtic captain he secured no fewer than nine Scottish League Championships and as manager of the club he saw Celtic win four League Championships, three Scottish Cups and one League Cup. In 2008, Billy McNeill was awarded an honorary degree from the University of Glasgow in recognition of his outstanding contribution to football and his role as an ambassador for the sport in Scotland.
